A guide's job is to give his or her guests the most thrilling ride possible, while balancing it with safety. At ACE Adventure Center, your guide will carefully consider the age, attitude, and physical condition of the crew and make adjustments accordingly. However, you can be sure at all levels, your experienced ACE guide will give you the ride of your life!
Personal Attention
Our simple philosophy of quality and safety means out guest-to-guide ratio is the lowest of any other outfitter, 7-guests per guide. This low ratio reflects our dedication to each guest and allows the personal attention each deserves. Rafting should be an up-close encounter with the river and one that is enhanced with a more personal experience between guide and guest.
Wetsuits
They keep you warm and provide additional floatation. The water flowing from Summersville Dam averages 50 degrees, and fall air temperatures can change quickly. Being prepared with an additional layer of insulation can keep you comfortable in the unpredictable conditions of a river canyon.
ACE offers complete insulated rental packages including neoprene, long-sleeve jackets, "farmer john" wetsuits, nylon splash jackets, and warm booties. Each day after a trip, our wetsuits are washed and returned to out 300,000 BTU drying room. What better way to start your rafting adventure then with comfortably warm gear!
Facilities
After a day on the water; there's nothing like a hot shower to shake the evening chills. Climate-controlled Lakeside Dining Lodge, Lost Paddle Bar & Grill, and outfitter's store allow you to relax the evening away in warm comfort.
